Thankfulness

Thankfulness is a value we nurture every day in our school community. It means recognising and appreciating the good around us—whether it's a helping hand from a friend, a moment of joy in learning, or the beauty of the world we live in. We encourage pupils to develop a grateful heart, knowing that gratitude leads to kindness, humility, and a positive outlook.

The Bible reminds us of this in 1 Thessalonians 5:18:

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

This verse teaches us that thankfulness isn’t just for the good times—it’s a way of life, even when things are challenging. By practising thankfulness, we help our pupils grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals who see the value in every moment.
