At Newnham St Peter’s C of E Primary School, we are passionate about giving children the very best start in life. Our Early Years Foundation Stage, which includes both our Pre-School and Reception class, is a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young learners feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore.

A Playful, Purposeful Environment

Our EYFS provision is thoughtfully designed to ignite children’s curiosity and support their development through meaningful, play-based learning. Indoors and outdoors, children are free to discover, question, create, and problem-solve – supported by dedicated staff who know how to stretch and support each child appropriately.

We follow the statutory EYFS framework, focusing on the prime and specific areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, and numeracy.
