PE & Sports

At our school, we are proud of the progress our pupils make in developing essential swimming and water safety skills. Swimming is an important part of the PE curriculum, helping children build confidence, fitness and lifelong water safety awareness.

For our most recent swimming cohort:

  • 8 out of 13 pupils (62%) were able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.
  • 10 out of 13 pupils (77%) were able to use a range of swimming strokes effectively.
  • 8 out of 13 pupils (62%) were able to perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.

We continue to provide opportunities for pupils to develop their swimming ability and water safety knowledge, ensuring they gain the skills needed to stay safe and enjoy being active in and around water.
